Faux leather, (pronounced as ‘foe’), is also commonly called synthetic leather, Polyurethane leather, PU leather or leatherette. Naturally soft and flexible, the production of faux leather does not require the use of toxic solvents used to soften materials like PVC and is more sustainable than animal leather. Shinnorie began using faux leather as part of our plans to transit into using only animal and eco-friendly materials in the future.

Fine Grain Faux Leather Fabric: While it may feel synthetic and has a shine that puts off most genuine leather lovers, the main advantage of this material is its low cost and ease of applying prints in vibrant colors that are not easily achievable on real hide. Glossy, smooth and available in colorful shades that resembles our Dune leather.

Pebble Grain Faux Leather Fabric: A replica of the full grain natural mill leather, without the high price tag. Unlike the fine grain faux, the pebble grain feels softer and less tactile than real leather. It resists dirt very well and can be easily cleaned with soap and water. It looks almost identical to the Natural Mill. Check out the colors on the SNAP! iPhone Case.

Dune Genuine Leather: Smooth with a faint skin texture, the Dune is durable and has a semi-matt surface that shines with polish. When well-oiled, this calf leather is modern, youthful and comes in vibrant colors perfect for youthful and fashionable uses. The Dune is used in our EZgoing series.

Natural Mill Genuine Leather: High quality and retains the natural grainy skin texture of cow hide, this leather has a slight sheen and dyed in several dark shades for a classic and executive look. The natural mill became popular with our iPhone 3G Flipcases.
