What is GEN?

GEN™ products are custom ordered products designed by you. It is a platform for you to create your own customized products. The word 'GEN' is derived from the words genesis, genuine and generation. Our objective is to let you receive a unique product unlike standard 'off-the-shelf' products.

How do I order?

Select the Shinnorie case you would like to customize from the 'SERIES'. Use the menu on the right to select the colors for materials, stitches, structural changes or even the type of accessories included. For more ideas on how the finished product will look like, check out the gallery section. Once you are satisfied with your design, click the 'Add to cart' button. You can continue to browse our products if you would like to make more purchases. When you are ready to check out, click on the 'Shopping cart' icon on the top right. Review your order, enter your shipping details and click 'Pay Now' to enter credit card details.

How can I personalize?

Use the 'Share' function at the bottom of the customization page of any of your desired product to show us the design you like. Send us what you would like to add onto your case (e.g. name, logos, graphic etc) so we can use that to prepare a visual for you.

Colored printing is most often done using silkscreen method for a professional and lasting effect. Price is additional $15 per color per area.



Personalization can also be in the form of an emboss with no colors. This method is used for a classic look and can only be done on leather. Price is additional $15 per area for basic text. Complicated designs like a logo will cost more.


When do I pay?

You will need to pay for your GEN™ order upon check out. Payment can be made by VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB credit cards or PayPal credit. For custom orders, an electronic invoice will be emailed to you for you to make payment upon your approval of the product visual sent by our Design Team.

Do I need a PayPal account to buy from Shinnorie?

No, you do not need a PayPal account. Click on the 'Pay Now' button and follow the on screen instructions to key in your credit card details. Payment can be made by any of the following: VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB credit cards or PayPal credit.

Will I receive a reply after I made the purchase?

Yes, you will receive a confirmation email within the next few moments after PayPal clears the payment. Be sure to check your 'spam' or 'junk' folder if you don't see this email in a day. Please add 'info@shinnorie.com' and 'store@shinnorie.com' to your address book so you can receive our system emails in your inbox.

Do I need to reply the confirmation email?

No, you do not have to, unless you have changes to make. Workshop will automatically proceed to make your order in 48 hours after sending you the confirmation email. If you have any changes you wish to make, be sure to reply the email immediately or within 24 hours from the email from us.

Can I make any changes after I see the visual?

Yes, you can but you MUST reply us within 24 hours from the confirmation email. Our workshop will automatically process every GEN label order in 24 hours if we do not hear from you. The order will be processed as being final and will be sent out on schedule. At that stage, any cancellation or design changes will be at your own expenses.

When will I receive my product?

Handcrafting process takes 5 to 8 work days. Delivery will take about 3 to 4 days depending on your location. You should receive your GEN label product in about 12 – 15 days. Our workshop is closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays in Singapore and Hong Kong. All orders from Friday evening to Sunday night will be compiled and processed on Monday. If your submission comes in on Friday night, it will be processed before end of Monday.

What other modifications can I do?

Possible modifications that our customers have asked for:
- longer or adjustable straps
- contrasting colors for the neckstrap
- gold-plated G hooks
- special material combinations within our library
- printing or embossing on the cases

How do I upload my own graphic?

There is a link on the right menu just below the 'Reset' button. Click the link to email your graphic and requests to us. Our studio will reply in 1-2 business days. This step is necessary for us to suggest the best method of production. Presently, there is no function to view your custom graphic in real time.

What kind of graphic can I get printed on my product?

We accept original, self-created graphic that does not contain inappropriate contents including pornography, vulgarity, defamatory or copyright infringing contents. While Shinnorie will try to screen and approve all your original creation, we also seek your co-operation to submit only graphic that you have the rights to use. Shinnorie disclaims all responsibilties of reproduction of unrightful submissions.

Why is my graphic rejected?

Some may contain trademarks of companies, licensed icons, mascots, band graphics, names of celebrities or sports professionals or organizations that Shinnorie does not have the right to use. There may also be materials that we consider inappropriate for our brand image. At these times, we will need to decline graphic that may otherwise seem unobjectionable. If such a graphic is deem unacceptable by our team, your order will be put on hold and you will be notified by email. Shinnorie reserves the right to cancel any graphic or messages after they have been submitted to us.

What if I want to print my organization's trademarked logo?

If you wish to commission us for a project for corporate usage, please contact us for more details. We will require written proof stating the usage and that you are the rightful owner of this logo and hereby giving us the permission to reproduce this graphic for your corporate usage.

How much is the case I ordered?

The price is displayed as you make the changes to the product. In general, change of colors will not affect the price. Additional accessories or modifications that require additional processing will increase the price accordingly. For special customization, our design team will quote you on the cost when we reply via email. A GEN™ label Contoured Nylon case starts from US$59.95. A GEN™ label Leather Flipcase starts from $64.95.

Can I return a customized product I ordered?

If we have not received any request from you within 24 hours after entering the order, we will begin the handcrafting process. Once the product enters the workshop, cancellations or modifications are not possible. Likewise, we cannot accept any return or exchange once the product has been handcrafted because of the extensive process involved in the making of custom products. Hence, we suggest that all customers should check the product description and order confirmation email carefully.

I have an idea for a design but it is not in your GEN™ label list of products. What do I do?

Sketch it out on a paper napkin or do it on computer. Scan and email it to us at info@shinnorie.com. We love to receive ideas and designs from you. We will build it for you if it is within our material and technical resources. Cost will be quoted along with the visuals.
