FAQ

How do I order?

Browse products from the menu. Click on the thumbnails to access the product details page. Products are either ready to ship or custom ordered. These are tagged with 'Next Day Shipping' or 'Custom Your Own' at the thumbnails page.

For a 'Custom Your Own' product, use the menu on the right column to select the colors for materials, stitches, structural changes or even the type of accessories included. Once you are satisfied with your design, click the 'Add to cart' button. You can continue to browse our products if you would like to make more purchases. When you are ready to check out, click on the 'Shopping cart' icon on the top right. Review your order, and click 'Check Out' to enter your shipping details.

What are 'Next Day Shipping' products?

These are ready-to-ship goods that are in stock and able to be shipped out the next day after packing.

What are 'Custom Your Own' products?

These are custom made to the colors and materials as designed by you on the product customization page. Our objective is to let you receive a unique product unlike standard 'off-the-shelf' products.

When do I pay?

You will need to pay for your order upon check out. Payment can be made by VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB credit cards or PayPal credit.

Do I need a PayPal account to buy from Shinnorie?

No, you do not need a PayPal account. Once you have been diverted to the PayPal page, simply follow the on-screen instructions to key in your credit card details without having to set up a PayPal account. Payment can be made by any of the following: VISA, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, JCB credit cards or PayPal credit.

Will I receive a reply after I made the purchase?

Yes, you will receive a confirmation email from 'store@shinnorie.com' within the next few moments after PayPal clears the payment. Be sure to check your 'spam' or 'junk' folder if you don't see this email in a day. Please add 'info@shinnorie.com' and 'store@shinnorie.com' to your address book so you can receive our system emails in your inbox.

Do I need to reply the confirmation email?

No, you do not have to, unless you have changes to make. Workshop will automatically proceed to process your order. If you have any changes you wish to make, be sure to contact us immediately by email or within 24 hours from the email from us.

Can I make any changes after I see the visual?

Yes, you can but you MUST reply us within 24 hours from the confirmation email. Our workshop will automatically process every custom order in 24 hours if we do not hear from you. The order will be processed as being final and will be sent out on schedule. At that stage, any cancellation or design changes will be at your own expenses.

When will I receive my product?

Handcrafting process takes 3 to 5 work days for small goods such as phone cases and ipad cases. Bags take 5 to 7 work days to complete. Delivery will take about 3-5 days. We use only SpeedPost for delivery from our HongKong office and delivery is free for all orders from anywhere in the world, except for hard to reach places. Our workshop is closed on Saturday, Sunday and Public Holidays in Singapore and Hong Kong. All orders from Friday evening to Sunday night will be compiled and processed on Monday. If your submission comes in on Friday night, it will be processed before end of Monday.

How much is the case I ordered?

The price is displayed as you make the changes to the product. In general, change of colors will not affect the price. Additional accessories or modifications that require additional processing will increase the price accordingly.

Can I return a customized product I ordered?

If we have not received any request from you within 24 hours after entering the order, we will proceed with your order. Once the product enters the workshop, cancellations or modifications are not possible. Likewise, we cannot accept any return or exchange once the product has been handcrafted because of the extensive process involved in the making of products. Hence, we suggest that all customers should check the product description and order confirmation email carefully.

I have an idea for a design but it is not in your 'Custom Your Own' list of products. What do I do?

Currently we do not custom make designs from customers. Slight variations from our base products may be possible, but please contact us before making your purchase. Thank you.

Orders and Payment

Browse our products and simply click on the "Add to cart" button to accumulate your orders. You may move about the site without losing the items in your cart. When you are all set, simply click on the "Order" and "Confirm" button to make your purchase. Cookies must be enabled to purchase online on this store. See below on how to enable cookies on your browser.

We use PayPal's service to accept and verify your payment. So you can make payment with Visa, MasterCard, American Express, JCB and Discover for orders to anywhere around the world. PayPal will process the payment to us once the financial details are verified. You do not need to have a PayPal account when shopping with us, although having one will enable you to check out faster because you will only need to supply your PayPal email address during check out.

Please include all the required fields (especially your email, contact number and address) during checkout so we can contact you regarding your order.

Products

All products depicted in this site are designed and fully tested by our Singapore design team. We try what we can to accurately display the color of the products online. However, as all monitors are set differently, we cannot guarantee that what you see on your monitor will be the actual color. The style, designs, colors and prices of these products may be subject to change without notice.

SHIPPING INFORMATION

Shipping

We ship direct to worldwide customers from our office in Hong Kong. We ship mostly by Speedpost, although we may change the shipping method if a more suitable method is available for your country. A tracking number (provided by the carrier) will be sent to you via email once the order ships.

All products are handcrafted upon order and shipped after 3 to 7 work days.

Orders placed after 11am, Hong Kong Time (GMT: +8:00hours) will be processed the next business day. This does not include weekends and public holidays. Fedex, Dpex or SpeedPost do not deliver on Saturdays unless special arrangements are made directly with us.

Delivery cost

We offer only Free Worldwide Express delivery by SpeedPost. You will not be charged any delivery fees upon checkout. Please note that there may be exceptions to the free delivery offer for countries that may be too costly to reach. In such cases, we may need to charge a nominal fee for delivery. We will contact you by email for such exceptional cases before we send out your order.

For worldwide orders, once the package has been shipped, any change in shipping address will incur a cost of US$30. Please ensure your shipping address before confirming the purchase.

There may be local custom duties and taxes added to your package by the destination country. These charges are always the recipient's responsibility upon delivery and are not included in your order total. Each country charges different rates for customs tax and whether or not customers get taxed is entirely dependent on the country's custom department. We cannot predict what these charges will be, although VAT for EU countries can be as high as an additional 18%. Please check with your local authorities for more details on these charges.

Tracking information

Tracking information will be emailed to you after your order is despatched.

Returns

We do not refund shipping costs on returned orders. Please find out more in the related topic under 'Return Policy'.

RETURN POLICY

If we have not received any request from you within 24 hours after entering the order, we will begin the handcrafting process. Once the product enters the workshop, cancellations or modifications are not possible.

Our return policy covers returns for defective goods on arrival. We do not accept any return or exchange once the product has been handcrafted because of the extensive process involved in the making of custom products. Hence, we suggest that all customers should check the product description and order confirmation email carefully.

Defective merchandise on arrival may be returned within 7 days of receipt for a refund of that item or to exchange it for another product of same value.

In all cases, the items returned must be in their original condition, which includes any packaging. Merchandise must not be used or altered.

The goods are your responsibility until they reach our office. Please ensure you package your return to prevent any damage to the items or boxes. We are not responsible for any items that are returned to us in error.

Please use a postal service that insures you for the value of the goods you are returning. Please note that shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

Refunds & Processing Time

Once your package arrives at Shinnorie, your refund will be processed in the original form of payment within 5 business days. You will be notified via email to the address listed on your account when this transaction has taken place. Your banking institution may require additional days to process and post this transaction to your account once they have received the information from us.

WARRANTY

Shinnorie International Pte Ltd's (Shinnorie) warranty obligations for the Shinnorie product (Product) you have purchased are limited to a period of 12 months from the date of original purchase (Warranty Period). Shinnorie warrants the Product against defects in materials and workmanship only.

If a defect arises and a valid claim is received by Shinnorie within the Warranty Period, at its option, Shinnorie will repair the Product or exchange the Product with a functionally equivalent new product. Shinnorie warrants repaired Products and replacement products provided hereunder against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of the repair or replacement for ninety (90) days or, if longer, for the remainder of the Warranty Period. If the Product is exchanged, the replacement product becomes your property and the Product becomes Shinnorie's property. When a refund is given, the Product becomes Shinnorie's property.

Exclusions and Limitations

Shinnorie's limited warranty applies only to the Product. The warranty does not apply to any non-Shinnorie product, even if packaged or sold with the Product. The warranty excludes without limitation any scratching or surface damage to any non-Shinnorie product, even if packaged or sold with the Product.This warranty applies only to the normal use of the Product, normal wear and tear excepted, in accordance with written use instructions, if any, provided with the Product (either in writing or through a hyperlink to such instructions on this website). This warranty does not apply to damage caused by accident, abuse, misuse, or modification of the Product. Please note that features and specifications of Shinnorie products may subject to updates and changes without notification.

Exclusion Of Other Warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, this warranty and the remedies set forth above are exclusive and in lieu of all other warranties, remedies and conditions, whether oral or written, express or implied.Shinnorie specifically disclaims any and all implied warranties, including, without limitation, warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. If Shinnorie cannot lawfully disclaim or exclude implied warranties under applicable law, then to the extent possible any claims under such implied warranties shall expire on expiration of the warranty period.No Shinnorie reseller, agent, or employee is authorised to make any modification, extension, or addition to this warranty.

Damages Limitation

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Shinnorie is not responsible for direct, or for special, incidental or consequential damages resulting from any breach of warranty or condition, or under any other legal theory, including without limitation any costs of replacing personal property, or costs of recovering or reproducing any program or data stored in a device used with or carried in the Shinnorie product.

Consumer Protection

For consumers who have the benefit of consumer protection laws or regulations in their country of purchase or, if different, their country of residence, that cannot be disclaimed as set forth above ("consumer laws"), the benefits conferred by this warranty are in addition to all rights and remedies conveyed by such consumer laws. To the extent that liability under such consumer laws may be limited, Shinnorie's liability is limited, at its sole option, to replacement or repair of the product.

Any reference to arbitration in Singapore shall be a submission to arbitration within the meaning of the Arbitration Act (Cap. 10) for the time being in force in Singapore. Such arbitration shall be conducted in the English language in accordance with the Arbitration Rules of the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (“SIAC Rules”) for the time being in force, which rules are deemed to be incorporated by reference into this Section, except in so far as such Rules conflict with the express provisions of this Section, in which event the provisions of this Section will prevail.

The arbitral tribunal shall consist of one (1) arbitrator to be appointed by mutual agreement between you and Shinnorie. Any party may propose to the other(s) the name or names of one (1) or more persons, one (1) of whom would serve as the arbitrator. If no agreement is reached within thirty (30) days after receipt by one (1) party of such a proposal from the other, the arbitrator shall be appointed by the Appointing Authority.  The Appointing Authority shall be the Chairman of SIAC.  The arbitrator must not be a present or former employee or agent of, or consultant or counsel to, any party or any related corporation as defined in Section 6 of the Companies Act (Cap 50) of any party.

Any decision or award of an arbitral tribunal appointed pursuant to this Section will be final and binding on both you and Shinnorie and the execution thereof may be entered into any court having jurisdiction.

You undertake to keep the arbitration proceedings and all information, pleadings, documents, evidence and all matters relating thereto confidential.
